The Burkburnett Blacksox organization believes in the importance of hard work, dedication and teamwork. We instill it in our players and we reflect it in how we operate our organization. We want those individuals who share this work ethic to be a part of our team.
About us
The Burkburnett Blacksox have operated as a college preparatory baseball program since 1976, fielding teams from youth ages through 18U. The organization is based out of two on-site training facilities in Burkburnett, Texas, with dormitory housing for players who travel in from out of town. Led by General Manager Mickey Cornelius, the Blacksox have sent more than 900 players on to college baseball and produced dozens of MLB draft picks.
Our mission
The Blacksox develop players as athletes and as young men, pairing baseball fundamentals with discipline and structure. The program prepares high school-age players for college and professional opportunities through a rigorous summer schedule and organized training. Teamwork and accountability are emphasized in every part of the program, on and off the field.
